Australia’s country music legend Lee Kernaghan has extended his national tour into 2025. His current tour is called Boys From The Bush – The Concert. Following the success of his sold out tour dates in 2024 Lee wanted to cover as many areas as possible that missed out last year’s tour and to catch up with his legion of fans around Australia. His current tour features a new show, a new band and a bunch of new songs that will be released later this year.

Lee Kernaghan burst onto the Australian music scene over three decades ago with a fresh approach of synthesising traditional country themes with his own experiences growing up in regional Australia. His unique style of Australian country music struck a chord with a younger generation of fans, paying homage to our great nation, its people, culture, and the hard-working lifestyle.

Classics including The Outback Club, Boys From The Bush, Hat Town, She’s My Ute and Australian Boy are the modern day anthems for generations of Australians living and working on the land.

With 13 Studio albums and 3 Greatest Hits packages under his belt, Lee has sold over two and a half million albums in Australia from his amazing catalogue: The Outback Club, Three Chain Road, 1959, Hat Town, Rules Of The Road, The Big Ones,  Electric Rodeo, The New Bush, Ultimate Hits, Spirit Of The Bush, Planet Country, Beautiful Noise, Spirit Of The Anzacs, 25th Anniversary Album and Backroad Nation all achieving gold, platinum or multi-platinum status. Lee is a four-time ARIA award winning artist and in 2015 he was presented with the Australian Record Industry Award for Outstanding Achievement based on the success of Spirit Of The Anzacs which was the highest selling Australian album of the year – a feat no other country artist has achieved. In 2017 Lee was named alongside the all-time greats of Australian Country Music with his inclusion into the Australian Country Music Roll Of Renown for his lasting and significant contribution to country music, and in 2018 he was inducted into the CMC Hall of Fame. Lee also received the CMC/ARIA Award for Highest Selling Australian Album of 2018 for his 25th Anniversary Album.

Another recent milestone event during his 30th Anniversary year, 2022, was the release of a concert based documentary film written and directed by Kriv Stenders who also directed the Go Betweens and Slim & I docos. Kriv was also the director of the two Red Dog movies and numerous other Australian productions.

The movie is called Lee Kernaghan - Boy From The Bush. The director takes the audience on a journey through Lee’s career that also features a full live concert along with visual stories about the songs, the people and places that inspired those songs. The movie featured an amazing new song from Lee called Come Together that he recorded with indigenous artists Isaiah Firebrace and Mitch Tambo.

Lee is a long-time passionate supporter of rural and regional Australia. His Pass The Hat Around Australia Tours, Spirit of the Bush Tour and Farmhand concert have raised millions of dollars for drought, flood and bushfire relief, hospitals, schools, ambulance and volunteer organisations nation-wide. In 2004 Lee was the recipient of an Order of Australia Medal and was named the 2008 Australian of the Year for his service to outback and regional communities.

Lee has achieved a staggering 40 #1 chart hit songs over his career and has been awarded 38 Golden Guitars. He has been named Hitmaker of the Decade twice, in 2001 and 2011. This accolade is in recognition of Lee having more chart hits in Australia than any other country music artist in the world.

A trailblazing country-music icon, Lee continues to deliver exciting live performances, fusing arena-rock bravado with country music’s heart and soul – depicting traditional stories of life on the land with the sensibilities of the modern day.

Lee’s prior sold-out tours have cemented him as one of the greatest live entertainers in Australia. Following a four-year hiatus from touring, Lee headed back out on the road for a series of live concerts in 2024! After an incredible run of sell out shows Lee has extended the tour into 2025 to cover as many areas as possible all over Australia. So don’t miss Lee Kernaghan’s Boys From The Bush – The Concert as it travels the length and breadth of our nation during 2025. This is  Lee’s biggest and most epic career showcase to date.

Lee said “After what has been a very challenging few years for everyone I have to say I have never been more ready and pumped to get out there and celebrate living in the lucky country with my mates all around Australia on this tour. I have an amazing new band working with me and we have put together a show that is for the fans. It will be a musical journey live on stage going back to where it all began and culminating with some new music I have been working on.”

In 2024 Lee released the song Who I Am, a duet with James Johnston. He has recently recorded another duet with The Wolfe Brothers called Country Is Coming To Town and this song is set for a February release and the song will also feature on The Wolfe Brothers forthcoming album. Meanwhile, Lee is writing and recording new material for a new album slated for release in the second half of 2025.
